System Mechanic Version 12 Now Available, Includes Enhancements for Windows 8.1
Available for Windows XP, 7, and 8
Iolo's System Mechanic software for Windows is now in version 12, and
among the changes introduced in the latest release is improved
performance in Microsoft's upcoming Windows 8.1 update. According to
Iolo, System Mechanic 12 has been designed to leverage Windows 8.1's
latest architectural changes, resulting in even faster startup speeds,
overall responsiveness, and increased stability.
One of the new features in version 12 is something Iolo calls Stability
Guard. What this does is proactively seek out and intercept threats to
system stability. These could be buggy programs, erratic apps and
plug-ins, internal errors, incompatibilities, or any of a host of other
issues.
Iolo also said it enhanced System Mechanic's CRUDD Remover module, which
helps identify and eliminate duplicate programs and bloat.
System Mechanic is available now for $40 (1-year).
